Want to save money on groceries?
Find a shopping buddy! Just like exercising with a friend can keep your fitness regimen on track, a friend can help you make the most of grocery savings. Here are 5 Fav how-to’s:
1. Join a warehouse club with a friend, sharing the cost of the membership.
2. Take alternate turns shopping and baby-sitting. Shopping is a lot easier (and cheaper) without the kids.
3. Share the savings on larger cuts of meat by splitting the bounty or split the BOGO’s that require purchasing two items.
4. Split and share bulk produce items that will spoil quickly.
5. Meet for coffee when you swap out items you’re sharing, making the whole experience a lot more fun.

My Books
Our Cookbooks rock!
What you're saying..
I started reading Desperation Dinners along about the time I became a "stay-at-home" mom (what an oxymoron!) and needed both intellectual stimulation and something different - ANYTHING different - for dinner.
In those early days, I cooked strictly by the rule book, no deviations. But over the years, you two have given me the confidence to try rotini instead of penne, to substitute, experiment, become confident. Thank you!!
Honestly - - all three of my DD books are stained, tattered, splattered, and loved. I've given DD as gifts to new moms, to new wives, and to young friends just out of college. Can't think of a more practical, useful present.
I appreciate all the recipes, but really like the bulk-cooking ideas.
Thanks for everything!!

I met some folks at my CSA weekly pick up that split the farm share. It covers them for vacations and for likes and dislikes as the different veggies come in over the season.
