Featured Recipe: Old-Fashioned Southern Chicken Salad
Don't you just love it when you can take one very simple ingredient, (we like to call them building blocks), and use it to create a variety of recipes? Poached chicken is a perfect example! You can make this Old-Fashioned Southern Chicken Salad, or you could fix five other chicken salad recipes contained in the Recipe Box here on Kitchen Scoop.
If you haven't used the search tools on our Recipes home page, click around. By using the various filters, you can get a specific recipe list very quickly.
For example, from the Recipe home page, under ingredients, click on Poultry. A list of all of the recipes on the site containing poultry will pop up in a list. HOWEVER, you can use the category search tools that pop up just above the recipe list to further narrow your search. SO, under the tab "All Recipe Styles" just scroll down and click on Salad.
As our Recipe Box grows larger by the week, these secondary search tools are a nifty way to quickly navigate around and find just what you need.
But what you probably really need right now is a great chicken salad. It's hard to beat our Old-Fashioned Southern Chicken Salad. But if you like variety, you'll definitely find it in the Recipe Box!
Have you tried the search features on The Scoop? How did they work for you? Any problems?
