Featured Recipe: A Super Bowl of Chili
With Super Bowl Sunday just around the corner, I can’t stop thinking about chili. Chili has always been my favorite Super Bowl food. A bowlful of chili is easy to hold in your hand and eat in front of the TV. It is easy to customize each bowl with lots of topping extras for every fan. And for me chili screams football food. When there was a house full of us and friends and family would come watch the big game, I would make batches chili and have it simmering throughout the whole game for all our guests.
But even now with just me in the house, I still crave a steaming bowl of chili for the big game dinner. Today’s recipe for A Super Bowl of Chili is a hale and hearty chili made with lots of veggies and the lean meatiness of ground turkey. Chili-style canned tomatoes bring just the right acidity to the stew and then I pump up the flavor with additional spices.
No matter which team you are pulling for this Sunday, or how many people are in front of your TV, A Super Bowl of Chili is sure to be a winner.
