Featured Recipe: Quick Chocolate “Fondue” with Strawberries
If it’s strawberry season we look for every excuse to eat them. This recipe is sort of feels like cheating – (cheating on what exactly we’re not sure) -- but it’s sinfully good.
Built around an ordinary container of chocolate frosting from the supermarket, this spontaneous dessert can be is ready when you are. Fresh strawberries at their peak pair perfectly with chocolate, and canned frosting is easy to stock in the pantry and microwave for an instant dip. A shot of liqueur adds sophistication, and you can use any flavor that suits your fancy.
We also like to dip apple and pear slices, pineapple chunks or spears, and squares of pound cake. Surely we’ll be forgiven this one little indulgence, yes?
