Just Chocolate Cake

Cake:
2 cups all purpose flour
2 cups sugar
¼ teaspoon salt
1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter
1/3 cup cocoa powder
1 cup water
½ cup 2% or whole milk
2 large eggs, lightly beaten
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
½ teaspoon vinegar

Icing:
14 tablespoons (1¾ stick) unsalted butter
¼ cup cocoa powder
¼ cup 2% or whole milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 cups powdered sugar

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, and salt. Set aside.
1. In a medium saucepan, melt butter, add cocoa and water, stir together. Bring mixture to a boil over medium high heat and boil for a full minute then remove from heat. 
Add the cocoa mixture to the flour mixture and stir to blend.
2. In a small bowl, combine milk, eggs, baking soda, vanilla and vinegar. Add to the batter and stir well. Pour into 9x13 glass or ceramic baking dish, with 2.5 inch sides. Bake for 30 minutes.
3. While cake is baking, make the icing: Melt butter in saucepan over medium heat.  Add cocoa, stir to combine and remove from heat. Add the milk, vanilla, and powdered sugar. Stir together and pour over warm cake. Cool to room temperature and serve.
