2 very ripe frozen peeled bananas
1 cup 100 percent fruit juice blend, such as orange-pineapple*
8 ounces fruit-flavored low-fat yogurt, such as blueberry*
1/2 bag (8 ounces) frozen sliced strawberries*

  1. Cut bananas into large chunks, about 4 pieces each. Place in blender container. Add remaining ingredients. Blend on medium-low speed or pulse until well blended. Stir midway through to mix well and make sure fruit is pureed. Serve at once.

* Cooking Notes

Be sure to buy individually frozen strawberries (preferably sliced) in a plastic bag so they’ll process easily in the blender.

Use any juice blend, but orange-pineapple is especially nice. Plain orange juice also works well, but avoid juice cocktails.

Or use fat-free yogurt.
